Uniformed Airman's Epic Dunk Shows NBA Stars How It's Done

Some of the NBA's brightest young stars played a game in Las Vegas Thursday night, but an Air Force airman wearing camouflage and combat boots stole the show.

Our fully-uniformed hero's dunk came during a break in an exhibition game where more than 20 pros hoping to make the 2016 Olympic squad showed their stuff for USA Basketball coaches and staff.

Watch the YouTube video embedded above to see him throw down an NBA-caliber windmill slam in slow-motion. The throw-down immediately caused a stir on basketball Twitter and sports blogs on Thursday night. This Instagram video, meanwhile, shows the crowd and New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony going wild after the dunk:

So maybe instead of waging wars, we should just settle international conflicts by challenging other countries to military-only dunk contests. And maybe more NBA players should ditch their Nikes for a pair of combat boots.
