If you want something done right, sometimes you've just got to do it all yourself.

Former Harlem Globetrotter Angelo Sharpless threw down what may stand as 2015's alley-oop of the year this week. The most impressive part? He flew solo for the ruthless dunk, playing the roles of both assister and finisher -- much to the chagrin of one hapless defender.

Here's Sharpless receiving the ball on the fast break, bouncing it over a defender's head, running around said defender and leaping high for the two-handed flush:

Got 'em! That play is basically the basketball equivalent of this:

The only appropriate reactions go something like this:

Sharpless formerly played at Elizabeth City State, a Division II historically black college in North Carolina, and subsequently spent time with the Harlem Globetrotters, according to Slam.

But this dunk, by far, is his greatest accomplishment to date. The stunning play came on Tuesday during a stop on the ACC Barnstorming Tour, a traveling series of exhibition games.

Of course, if a certain high school star's teammate had been able to finish this spectacular half-court, behind-the-back pass, we might have a different frontrunner for alley-oop of the year.
