TwittyPic currently features some fairly basic features like being able to give something a thumbs up/down or click to retweet a post. It also pulls in tweets about the piece of content. According to the founder of PetHoldings, the plan is essentially “to replicate Digg, just using Twitter as the source.”

Of course, there are already a lot of sites looking to do this, like Tweetmeme and Twitturly. But the “lolcats network” will be launching with the huge advantage of already having a massive audience, giving the site a much better chance of success than its competitors.

On the other hand, it’s not nearly as creative as some of the company’s other endeavors – something like HistoricalTweets would’ve seemed to be a much better fit.
