Hail Sony.

Thanks to a deal between Sony Pictures and Marvel announced Monday night, Spider-Man is now officially a part of the Marvel cinematic universe.

The terms of the deal allow Spider-Man to appear within Marvel films, hinting at an almost certain appearance in upcoming Avengers films, and perhaps even in Captain America: Civil War.

While the long-standing rumors about the deal have finally been put to rest, there are still challenges to overcome. We're not sure what it took to bring Sony and Disney/Marvel to a common ground, but according to these leaked scripts that we definitely didn't make up just now, the deal will also probably mean a lot more Sony product placement.
