A year after the South Korean ferry disaster left 304 passengers dead or missing, one artist is honoring the victims with a time-lapse tribute.

In this stunning and altogether heartbreaking time-lapse video, an artist on YouTube created photorealistic illustrations of a girl who died aboard the Sewol ferry last year. The video apparently shows drawings of the girl at different points in her life as she grows up. At the end, she is drawn wearing an orange life jacket, signifying that the accident took place.
