Plane tickets for under $100? If that deal seems too good to be true, that’s because it is.

Southwest unveiled a 72-hour long sale on Wednesday that will allow customers to snatch up seats on domestic flights for slashed prices — but the sale won’t help anyone looking to book a summer vacation.

The sale, which ends on Thursday at 11:59 p.m., only applies to trips booked for travel between August 25 through December 16. But flights for Labor Day and Thanksgiving — two of the busiest travel periods of the year and key revenue days for airlines — are conveniently excluded.

And the deals won't be helpful if you're looking for a weekend escape, either. Tickets on Fridays and Saturdays are also excluded from the sale.

But if you're one of the lucky ones with some extra vacation days stocked up during the fall and winter months, then tickets as low as $49 await you. Some of the low prices include flights from Burbank, California to Las Vegas for $49, D.C. to New Orleans for $99, or Denver, Colorado to New York City for $129.
