On top of the world record for longest freefall jump, Felix Baumgartner's Red Bull Stratos space jump has already broken an Internet record. More than 7.1 million people are tuning in to watch the live video of the jump on YouTube, setting an Internet video record.

According to All Things D, the previous YouTube viewing record was set during the London Summer Olympic Games, when about 500,000 people concurrently tuned in to live video.

Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner is ascending up to the edge of space, and once he reaches 120,000 feet (23 miles) above ground, he'll leap from the capsule and freefall to earth with a parachute. Baumgartner is expected to break Joseph Kittinger's 1960 record, a freefall jump of 102,800 feet.
