Hybrid publishing service Spleak has just launched two new verticals, for politics and sports. having already covered the celebrity side of the hybrid publishing industry, Spleak has found two other hot topics to delve into as it grows its business.
What's that mean for users? That there's more variety for them to enjoy their hybrid media. You may recall that Spleak combines editorial content from publishers with user-generated content. What started as an IM news delivery tool turned into a way to consume and interact with news content across IM clients, widgets, social network apps and mobile devices.
That's part of what makes Spleak compelling for publishing partners like Hearst, and advertisers as well. Similar to Frengo's distribution methods, Spleak is looking to offer publishers a way in which to interact with users across platforms and devices. That's good for advertisers too.
