MotionBox Valentines - Like many social sites, the video sharing site MotionBox is running a Valentines Day promo: their Christmas eCards section has been replaced by a Valentines eCards feature.

Jamglue Valentines - Likewise, the music remixing site Jamglue has launched a Valentines Day remixing promo. See it on the site's homepage.

Sportsvite Funded - Sportsvite, one of many sports social networks we've covered, is announcing first round funding today. The funding comes from New York-based Grace Drive Management, and the amount hasn't been disclosed. See also FanPage, FanNation, FanSpot, Takkle and SportsMates.

Txtms - Txtms, which launched this week, is a new mobile service for exchanging contact info - users create profiles and swap them.

DareJunkies - DareJunkies is launching a contest, giving $10,000 to the creator of the most outrageous video.

Netvibes Security - A breach in Netvibes' security was quickly corrected by the team this week after a "friendly" hacker showed that he could gain access to user details, passwords and more by creating a widget for the Netvibes Ecosystem and changing it after approval. There are parallels here to the various MySpace hacks - when outside developers insert code or widgets into pages, it opens up potential exploits. Kudos to Netvibes for addressing this quickly and publicly. (via)
