NASA’s Space Shuttle Enterprise is set to fly from Virginia’s Dulles International Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport today between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. EDT.

En route, the space craft, which is flying piggyback on a Boeing 747, will make low flyovers above the Intrepid Air and Space Museum, the Statue of Liberty, and several other New York City landmarks.

Mashable's Technology Editor Pete Pachal and U.S. and World Reporter Alex Fitzpatrick are at John F. Kennedy Airport awaiting the shuttle's arrival. We'll be using the storify below to document the scene there, as well as notable photos and videos that surface in the social space.
