UPDATED: Sunday, Dec. 6, 6.30 p.m. AEDT with Coca-Cola statement.
If you have ever wondered what it would be like to bathe under a giant soft drink dispenser, now is your chance.
A new installation promoting Sprite at Sydney's Bondi Beach is helping swimmers wash off the salt water. While it does not gush out the fizzy beverage -- probably best not to be covered in sugar in hot summer temperatures, anyway -- it might be one of the more unusual showers you have ever taken.
This is not the first time Sprite showers have turned up -- they've previously been installed at beaches in Brazil.
The shower gimmick was meant to be up and running at Bondi Beach in February, according to media and advertising outlet Mumbrella, but the project was pulled for mysterious reasons. Instead, it was activated a few weeks later on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
A Coca-Cola spokesperson told Mashable Australia the Sprite showers would only be on at Bondi Beach over the Dec. 5 and 6 weekend.
