LOS ANGLES -- Swiping in Hollywood: If you thought you saw Melissa McCarthy on Tinder today, you were (swipe) right.
Twentieth Century Fox has joined Tinder to promote Spy, the action/comedy starring Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law, Rose Byrne and Jason Statham. Tinder users in 50 markets will start to see Spy profile starting Monday; swipe right for a shot at a special advanced screening that takes place on Thursday.
The sneak peek will show up for users in 50 markets around North America, and include RSVP information in the app.
“Tinder users will swipe through some of the hilarious actors in Spy: Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law, Rose Byrne and Jason Statham,” said Phil Schwarz, Tinder’s head of marketing. “We're excited we can give the Tinder community a sneak peek of the film.”
Spy hits theaters June 5.
