LONDON -- An important photo of a squirrel eating a mince pie on some rails in London has emerged.

Normally squirrels in London are sort of annoying (really just one step up from a pigeon), but when you put a mince pie in their paws they immediately turn into adorable pictures of Christmas-postcard bliss.

The picture was captured in East London's Bethnal Green by Duncan Gillies, according to the Evening Standard.

"I was just walking past and he was making a funny noise," Gillies told them.

"I actually thought he was choking. Then he took the pie out of his mouth and turned to me, and I got the snap before he ran away up a tree and ate the whole thing."

Interestingly, this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident of mince pie-related squirrel activity in East London. This photo, which was also taken in Bethnal Green, was shared on Twitter a few days ago.
