Verizon is the latest brand to gain access to the movie magic of a galaxy far, far away.

As fans are busy dissecting and poring over every new frame of footage from the upcoming Star Wars: Force Awakens, the cell carrier giant has released a new 30-second spot featuring an elaborate encounter between two beloved characters and a regiment of storm troopers.

In the ad, which does not feature any new footage from the movie, Chewbacca and the new BB-8 rolling droid work together in a chorus of moans and bleeps to hack into an enemy computer system as an unsuspecting patrol of stormtroopers marches right by them.

Just when it seems like they've gone unnoticed, a lagging droid notices their presence and sounds the alarm, setting off a blaze of laser fire as a gunfight breaks out.

The commercial, the latest in Verizon's "Better Matters" campaign, was directed by Tommy Gormley, first assistant director and associate producer on the upcoming installment, with heavy involvement from Star Wars director J.J. Abrams. It was also filmed at Pinewood Studios, where much of the Star Wars films were shot.
