'Tis the season for incredibly awkward family holiday cards. Whether the card features a wailing baby or a dog struggling under the weight of a costume, it's so rare -- and so precious -- to find a decent holiday card nowadays.
The Krause family of Tustin, California turned up their card game this year. The family, all of whom are Star Wars fans, timed the release of their card with the blockbuster movie.
"Our mom, Tami (Princess Leia), came up with the idea. We wanted to push the limits for this year's holiday card, and given the fact that we are all Star Wars fans, it was perfect timing with the release of "The Force Awakens," Mitch told Mashable.
The family then shopped for costumes and hired an outside photographer to make the card. The results were thematic perfection.
