A year before Star Wars: The Force Awakens started shattering every box office record in Hollywood, Lego enthusiast Marshal Banana decided to recreate the film's version of the Millennium Falcon.
The result: a 7,500-piece Lego creation that measures almost three feet long and weighs 22 pounds.
Banana spent a year gathering pieces, finalizing the design and assembling it all. He managed to include lights for the engines and top/bottom-mounted gun turrets, as well as a fully modeled cockpit and functional boarding ramp.
The ship's interior is wall-to-wall Lego and wiring in order to maintain structural integrity, but the exterior is astonishingly authentic, right down to the different-colored plating. It's the piece of garbage we know and love from The Force Awakens, right down to the rectangular radar dish that replaced the round one lost in Return of the Jedi's second Death Star.

Lego fansite The Brothers Brick points out that, at 7,500 pieces, Banana's Falcon is actually larger and more detailed than the largest Lego set ever sold (which was a 5,000-piece Millennium Falcon).
This isn't Banana's first brush with Lego celebrity, either. He built the Jawa Sandcrawler from the first Star Wars back in 2011, complete with a fully lit and modeled interior. You can see that as well as more Falcon photos on Banana's Flickr.
