Most marathons are biased toward athletes and “healthy people.” But not all of us are runners and jumpers -- some of us just like TV.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas, recently decided to target this population with a new kind of marathon. For approximately 16 hours, beginning at 4 a.m. on December 17th, the cinema will show the six previous Star Wars films back-to-back. Following the marathon, viewers in the audience will finally get to see The Force Awakens.

The cinema will reward one lucky participant who manages to sit through the entire event with a free, seven-year movie pass. Viewers who can’t make it to the Drafthouse (only seven will actually be allowed to sit in the theater) are encouraged to participate from home and send in pictures proving their fandom tagged with #AlamoJedi.

While the drafthouse permits viewers to take bathroom breaks (if the force be with them), all other forms of recreation are banned.

“Sleeping, illegal drugs and talking and texting during the movies (of course) will result in disqualification and a swift trip to the Sarlacc Pit,” the cinema said. “However, for those strong enough to persevere, intergalactic immortality awaits.”
