Help Re-Create Star Wars, 15 Seconds at a Time

The Star Wars Uncut project is back. Nerds, rejoice!

The project asks Internet users to remake the film "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back," in 15-second increments.

Sound impossible? It has already been done.

In 2009, developer Casey Pugh made the same request, for "Star Wars IV: A New Hope," with resounding success.

Nearly a thousand fans came together to recreate the film, which resulted in a creative, fun, sometimes bizarre, and endlessly nostalgic masterpiece.

"We created Star Wars Uncut in 2009 with just some blood, sweat, and pipe cleaners," the website reads. "It took time and a lot of trial and error to figure out how to bring this new concept to life—we learned a lot alongside our thousands of contributors."

Pugh hopes to take what they learned from the first re-make to inspire the second. "We can’t wait to get fans together to recreate the next episode in the galactic saga." Pugh writes. "Past contributors, new friends, and future Jedis of the world: we know you have a lot more up your sleeves for The Empire Strikes Back Uncut."
