Starbucks has announced the launch of its Mobile Order & Pay system, a mobile app feature that lets customers make an order before they arrive at the store.

The new feature has debuted in Portland, Oregon on Wednesday. Starbucks says it’s planning to roll it out nationally in the coming year.

It works how you’d probably expect — tap “order” within the app, select all your caffeinated goodies, select the store where you want to pick up your order, and tap to pay.

You’ll get approximate wait times from within the app, and as soon as you’ve paid, the order will be sent to your chosen store. All that’s left is to grab your order, without waiting in line.

As for finding a store that accepts the new feature, you'll have to agree for the app to determine your location via GPS before it points you on your way.

Currently, Mobile Order & Pay is an addition to Starbucks' iPhone app; the company says it will arrive on Android in 2015.
