We'd like to know what the numbers were like at all the other sites that streamed the event so we can get a total view count. Still, we're confident that the President's State of the Union didn't top his inauguration; 13.9 million watched the inauguration on CNN.com alone a year ago.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon red carpet event on Ustream actually had more live viewers than the State of the Union did on whitehouse.gov, but don't worry — 48 million watched the President's speech on old-school TV.

You might recall that the White House launched an iPhone app that would stream the speech. While the White House hasn't figured out exactly how many viewers watched on the app yet, it did announce that more than a terabyte of data was streamed.
