Everyone else may have zombies on the brain, but this little corgi's one-track mind won't stop until he finds his beloved boy.

CalArts student John Kim's short animated film, Steadfast Stanley, centers on a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who battles hordes of the undead in order to reunite with the boy he lost -- and bring him his shoe. The short's sketchy looking style is reminiscent of Saturday morning cartoons from the 1980s and 90s, which only serves to tug harder at your heart strings.

In case you are not sobbing gleeful tears by the end, the film is capped off with a touching quote from TV personality and wildlife conservationist Roger Caras that reads, "dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." If only The Walking Dead could be this heartwarming.
