Are you one of the three people out there who hasn't seen Star Wars? Do you have a dislike for films about stars or wars? Were you born and raised in '70s China?

Then Stephen Colbert's got your back.

"Apparently the franchise never got popular in China because the original Star Wars movie came out in 1977, back when Western media was suppressed in China," Colbert told his audience Friday. "For the less-informed Chinese viewers out there, let me catch you up real quick."

What followed was an unpretentious, uncomplicated story about a farm boy and his robots getting revenge on his dad.
