Between Shock Top's talking bar tap, Honda's singing sheep and now a screeching portrait of Steven Tyler made out of Skittles, it seems that talking objects and animals are having a moment in the commercials of the Super Bowl this year.

In Skittles' just-released 30-second spot, the Aerosmith frontman strolls down the hallway of what looks to be a personal castle towards a work of art covered in a sheet. Aerosmith's "Dream On" sets the scene.

"Alright, let's do this," he says. "I've got minds to twist and values to warp."

The sheet is torn off and Tyler finds himself face to face with the portrait. He is apparently disgusted by the effort, and the art is destroyed during a bout of vocal coaching.

The ad, created by DDB Chicago, is Skittles' second-ever Super Bowl spot after the Wrigley brand made its debut in the Big Game last year. Tyler will also mark the first celebrity to star in one of the candy's TV ads -- though NFL star Marshawn Lynch has appeared frequently in its digital work.

"Skittles and I are a great match," the rock star said in an emailed statement. "Crazy, Sweet, Psychedelic colors, and delirious deliciousness!!"
