Zivity, a startup that counts roughly a dozen or so executives and developers to its name, began life as an up-and-comer network with the strict intent at connecting photographers and models to create and display unique content. And while it remains in private beta stage with a select supply of photogs and figures, all living for the time being under concealment from public snoopers, the company announced earlier this week that it has recruited Napster co-founder and former Columbia Music CTO Jordan Ritter to join its team as its head technical officer.
Our own Kristen Nicole relayed news last summer that the startup raised $1m prior to its limited launch. And according to Chris Morrison of VentureBeat and Chris Nutall of FT.com, a pool of venture capitalists presented Zivity with some $7 million in funding in early March 2008.
