Yes, Street Fighter EX featured Pullum Purna -- but that was a spin-off. So hush, peanut gallery.

Rashid follows Necalli, becoming the second new brawler to join the Street Fighter V roster. He was revealed when series producer Yoshinori Ono took the stage at the Games 15 Middle East video game event, held from Sept. 10-12 in Dubai.

The trailer that introduces Rashid gives a sense of what to expect from him as a fighter. He harnesses the power of wind to spit out mini-tornadoes and move swiftly, ducking below Hadouken fireballs and sliding past his enemies to outflank them.

There's some shakycam footage floating around from Dubai, but you're better off just watching IGN's embed:

You can also take a peek at Rashid's character art from Street Fighter V's character selection screen, compliments of a tweeted photo from Bas Gros Poing, a fighting game enthusiast website out of France.

Street Fighter V hit a stumble over the summer when the planned beta test suffered from significant performance issues (though it later rebounded). That's what such tests are for, and all signs point to the game being on track for its PlayStation 4 and Windows release in early 2016.
