As halftime began during Game 1 of the NBA Finals, ABC paid tribute to the late sportscaster Stuart Scott, who passed away in January after a long fight with cancer.

The game would have marked Scott's 19th consecutive year of covering the NBA Finals, which, according to Sage Steele, was Scott's favorite event.

Fellow sportscaster Michael Wilbon narrated a touching video detailing Scott's method, influence and legacy.

"Stuart, we love you, we miss you, we know you're watching," said Steele, as the segment drew to a close.
