Student Suspended for Organizing 'Harlem Shake' Flash Mob

Perhaps school administrators were sick of the meme?

A 17-year-old high school student was arrested and suspended for five days after organizing a failed "Harlem Shake" video shoot on campus Friday, according to the New York Post

Arnis Mehmetaj, a senior at Forest Hills HS in New York, tried to call it off at the last minute, but word had spread too far among the school's 3,000 students.

Mehmetaj's classmates created a now-removed online petition protesting his punishment, which they deemed too harsh. In response, administrators reversed their decision. For more on the story, watch the video, above.
