StumbleUpon Gets New Design

StumbleUpon has redesigned its homepage, taking cues from the other big social bookmarking sites, such as Digg and del.icio.us.

In an effort to better portray its purpose, StumbleUpon now emphasizes the social aspects of the service, which includes feedback and testimonials. They've also added a section for recently popular sites and another section for recent "stumblers," which shows the members who have just found a new site.

Redesigning as a way to gain more users is the best reason for a design overhaul. Now visitors won't be as confused when they first arrive at StumbleUpon's homepage. First impression is everything.
