61% of Super Bowl Viewers Will Share Ads on Social Media
Journalists tour East Rutherford, N.J.'s MetLife Stadium ahead of Super Bowl XLVIII on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Social media and the Super Bowl go together like Beyoncé and a power outage.

The first Twitter-worthy moment of the Super Bowl season came early this year, when Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman lit up social media with a GIF-able outburst that tackled the news cycle and held it tight.

But the Sherman incident is just the tip of the pigskin when it comes to tweeting about the Super Bowl. A survey by CrowdTap found that the majority of Super Bowl viewers plan to record their impressions on social media before, during and even after the game.

The commercials are sure to get a huge social hit, with 61% of those surveyed saying they will share the ads on social media. And 41.2% of those polled said they would be on social media during most, if not all, of the game, with 55.8% planning to share content primarily on Facebook.

Take a look at the infographic below to find out more about what's sure to be the most social Super Bowl yet.
