We've seen a lot of crazy things in New York City over the years, but two guys in wetsuits taking the streets on motorized surfboards is definitely a first.
The video, which was uploaded to YouTube on Monday, shows the duo begin their trek uptown and make their way down to Battery Park. Along the way, they grab hot dogs, see the sights and give high-fives -- all while on their surfboards, of course.

UPDATE: It looks like the video may be a part of a marketing effort to support the film Chasing Mavericks, a biographical movie about American surfer Jay Moriarity. It hits theaters Friday, Oct. 26.
