Developers in Canada are creating interactive virtual spaces to help surgeons train for complex operations. The technology immerses doctors in an OR environment and connects the surgeon's real hands to a virtual reality version of the patient's body. According to one resident, the placement of his hands in real life matched his hands' position and speed in the virtual space.

Conquer Mobile began designing the technology, known as PeriopSim VR, in 2013.
