The dream of walking around looking like you're having an intimate conversation with a plate of sushi is alive and well.

Japanese designer Masatatsu Kajikawa loves sushi so much that he decided to create handmade 3D iPhone cases that look like exactly like it, right down to the dimensions.

The hyperrealistic sushi is made from plastic resin using the same techniques used to make the fake food in restaurants' window displays that tempt hungry passersby.

Being serious about raw fish doesn't mean you have to take yourself seriously -- the cases are meant to have have a sense of humor and intentionally designed to be extreme. Some don't simply look like a piece of sushi, but an entire plate of it. The life-size adornments serve a practical purpose, too. The fake sushi functions as a built-in stand if you want to kick back and watch videos on your phone.

Though the cases are handmade Kajikawa can only make so many, he told The Daily Mail that he hopes to have them available on Amazon soon so that people everywhere can feel pangs of hunger every time they look at their phone.
