SwitchPlanet, the barter system site where you can lend and borrow items with other users, has added a few new features recently.
SwitchPlanet now has Friends and Groups for you to use to better your online communication with other users. The Friends feature works especially well with their new RSS feeds functionality which can keep you updated on things going on with your friends. Groups is also a good addition to a bartering site, as it encourages users to better facilitate discussions regarding many of the items that can be traded on SwitchPlanet, such as CDs, DVDs and books. Both new features better connect users and offer more transparency for all members of the site.
Others in this space include SaySwap, and iLetYou, which operates as a revenue-making model for its users as well.
