More than 1,000 people were evacuated from Sydney's central train station Saturday evening after a fire started at a Hungry Jack's fast-food restaurant in the station's concourse and spread up four floors.

It took 40 firefighters to bring the blaze under control after the alarm went off at about 6 p.m. The station has reopened and no injuries have been reported.

Sydney's Central Station is listed by the New South Wales government as a heritage building. The main building dates to 1901 and it's a well-known landmark.

Plenty of photos and video of the fire showed up on social media.
