You know it's getting hot in Australia when flips flops start melting, the beer is warm and the locals are losing their minds.
You'd think by now Australians would be used to the heat, with most summers in the country hitting well above the 30 degree Celsius mark, but the reaction from social media says otherwise -- with #sydneyheat trending in Australia as the mercury rises.
To be fair -- it is only spring in Sydney, and after weeks of cold and rain, there's finally a bit of sunshine for the city. On Thursday, temperatures are expected to reach a whopping 41 degrees Celsius (105.8 degrees Fahrenheit). If this happens, it will be the second hottest November day since records were kept.
Here are some hilarious reactions from Twitter, where people are freaking the hell out because they can't handle the heat.

Don't worry Sydney folks -- temps will settle down to a more reasonable maximum of 23 degrees Celsius (73.4 degrees Fahrenheit) on Saturday and Sunday.
