T-Mobile Sells 500,000 iPhone 5s in Less Than a Month

T-Mobile may have been the last of the major carriers to get the iPhone, but it looks like there's still plenty of demand for it.

The carrier revealed in its first quarter earnings report Wednesday that it has sold 500,000 iPhone 5's since the device went on sale April 12.

On the day that the iPhone first went on sale, T-Mobile reported having lines out the door (a rare event for the carrier). A rep from the company actually described the first day selling the device as "gangbusters."

Apart from the iPhone sales, however, T-Mobile USA's earnings were a bit of disappointment: The company's revenue declined 7% from the same quarter a year earlier. But it's worth noting that the quarter ended March 31, before T-Mobile started selling the iPhone and before it finalized the deal to merge with MetroPCS.
