We were first contacted by T9space a few months ago, when there was no web interface to speak of and just a simple mobile site that helped you view your MySpace profile on a phone. In fact, it entered the market before many social sites committed to a mobile strategy of their own.

Now the founder tells us that the site has gone through a total redesign, providing mobile access to MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Xanga, Craigslist, Wikipedia and - most recently - hi5. Just browse to t9space.com in your mobile browser (most phones are equipped with a browser these days) and log in to whichever site you want to use - you can also test it from your computer, of course.

The service is free, and claims ten times faster load times for pages. But get this:they're also more popular than you might assume from a site that most people have never heard of. They report 4,142,656 pageviews February at 25.5 pages per visit - not astronomical, but healthy for such a young service. These mobile pageviews don't show up on Alexa, of course.

T9space is a great solution until the social networks roll out their own mobile solutions, and frankly it may still be preferable to those. Let's hope none of those sites object.
