After winning the the Liebherr Men’s World Cup title against Ma Long in Düsseldorf on Oct 26., table tennis pro Zhang Jike celebrated by kicking two advertising boards. He then strutted across to the other side to smash a few more boards, leaving giant, gaping holes all along the ring.

After Jike's Hulk-like display, he threw his shirt out into the area for fans to tug-of-war over as he took a victory lap around the arena.

The the International Table Tennis Federation didn't not find his exhuberant celebrations amusing and fined Jike his entire prize money fund, amounting approximately $45,000 USD. This is ping pong. We have rules here.

Jike also issued an apology on the ITTF website, saying, "It was not acceptable behavior and I am sorry. This was a perfect victory, I have been under a great deal of pressure, with people questioning my form."

Whoever said table tennis wasn't an extreme sport clearly never played with Jike.
