Taco Bell has a social media crisis on its hands after a photo surfaced showing an employee licking some taco shells.
It's unclear what the origin is of the photo, which has been posted numerous times on Taco Bell's Facebook Page. It's also not certain that the shells were meant for customer consumption. (They may have been en route to the trash bin.)
Reps from Taco Bell could not be reached for comment, but a rep told The Huffington Post that, "When we learned of the situation we immediately contacted this restaurant's leadership and although we believe it is a prank and the food was not served to customers, we are conducting a full scale investigation and will be taking swift action against those involved."
The brand has yet to address the issue in its social media feeds.
