San-Francisco-based Tagfetch is a new tag metasearch engine - in other words, you can search multiple tag sites from one location. The aggregated view includes Flickr, YouTube, Newsvine, Tailrank, Reddit, del.icio.us, Technorati and Feedster. The design is sparse and the site lacks RSS feeds (essential for a tag search engine). Nonetheless, the current version is only a preview - the official beta will launch in the next few weeks. One of the developers posted screenshots of this new version on Flickr (I've also included one below).

Tagfetch will compete with Gada.be, Chris Pirillo's tag search engine which launched in October last year. Other competitors include Tagground, Gnosh and Inquisitor - but none of these offerings are particularly impressive right now. What's more, there doesn't seem to be much defensible technology here and the whole idea seems fairly geeky.
