Tamar Braxton withdraws from 'Dancing With the Stars' due to health complications

After being hospitalized earlier in the season, Tamar Braxton has confirmed that she is bowing out of Dancing With the Stars on account of health complications.

The R&B singer announced that due to blood clots in both her lungs, she will be dropping out of the remaining season as well as canceling her guest appearances on tour with singer KEM.

Braxton posted a photo to Instagram of herself with partner Val Chmerkovskiy to announce that she is leaving the competition.

"With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem," she wrote.

But in this case, my health is my current obstacle. .. And in TRUE #tamartian form I must go about this the exact same way as I would anything else. Braxton had previously been hospitalized during dress rehearsal for Monday's show, but was not eliminated because she made a triumphant return 20 minutes before the end of the show to dance alongside Nick Carter.

However, she revealed Wednesday that she has been diagnosed with pulmonary embolism, ruling out the possibility for another return.

Chmerkovskiy came to her support, posting another photo of the pair on Instagram.
