Because we live in the age of social media, a number of businesses are leveraging their social media presence to promote their freebies. Starbucks, for example, is using their participation in Twitter's Promoted Tweets platform to spread the message that it is giving away free coffee if you bring in your own mug.

We've rounded up several of the deals we know about. If there's any we've missed, let us know in the comments and we'll update our list. Now go out into the world and redeem those freebies. You've earned it.

Boston Market: BOGO coupons good from 4/15 to 4/18. Buy one individual plate and get a second free (coupon required).

Cinnabon: Stop by from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and get free cupcake bites. It's also giving away goodies to new Twitter followers.

Dairy Queen: The Blizzard Mobile gave away free mini blizzards at the IRS building in Washington, DC, earlier today, and some locations will have special promotions.

Dunkin' Donuts: Free Tax Day donuts at participating stores in Las Vegas.

Maggie Moo's: The ice creamery is offering a free slice of their new MaggieMia's ice cream pizza from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today. Check the website for participating stores.

McCormick & Schmick's: The fine dining establishment is offering $10.40 dinner entrees and $10.40 certificates for bar guests. Present your business card and you'll also get free dessert.

Papa John's: Use the code "1040" when ordering online to redeem a large, original crust three topping pizza for $10.40. The offer is good until midnight.

PF Changs: The restaurant is offering tax relief in food form. Get 15% off dine-in and takeout orders.

Staples: The office supply chain is giving away 30 pages of free tax return copies at Copy and Print centers.

Starbucks: Bring in a refillable mug and receive a free cup of brewed coffee. Offer good for the entire day.

Taco Del Mar: The fast food chain is offering free tacos because "taxes suck, tacos don't." Register online to get the coupon.

TGI Friday's: $5 Bonus Bites Cards with $15 to $25 purchase, and $10 cards for purchases over $25.

Whole Foods: It's Tax-Free Day at select Whole Foods Markets.
