We all have quirks that make us stand out from the crowd, like a red rose in a field of yellow flowers on a motivational poster reading "Dare to Be Different".

It just so happens that some of Taylor Swift's idiosyncrasies happen to stem from her role as a frequent paparazzi target.

A fan posted a picture of Swift hiking backwards accompanied by a body guard to Tumblr questioning what possessed the pop star to utilize that particular method of transportation.

TayTay has previously been spotted walking backwards to exit her own garage, so it's definitely not a flash of momentary confusion.

T-swift, natural born Tumblr queen, explained to fans that she employs the technique to avoid the paparazzi and assured worried Swifties that her security team was making sure she didn't fall off a cliff.

It is also important to note that she hashtagged the post "#The Spice of Life!," which is either a very level-headed or defeated approach to take when your privacy is routinely invaded by strange men.

Swift also used hashtags to lay down some pretty solid reasons for making a trip to Michael's after a fan asked her if a coupon from the craft store made her want to party. The answer was, of course, yes.

Next time she goes hiking, she should probably just bring glitter to throw at the paparazzi.
