Fresh off her sort-of-but-not-really feud with Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift is in the middle of another mini scandal, this time potentially involving Katy Perry's beloved Left Shark. But as is the case with most Internet speculation, this may not be what it looks like.

After one of Swift's back-up dancers appeared on stage in a shark costume at Swift's Foxborough, Massachusetts show on Saturday, the Internet was quick to interpret it as a jab at Perry's 2015 Super Bowl halftime show. It doesn't help Swift's case that the shark popped up during her performance of "Bad Blood," a single famously written about her feud with Perry.

But as US Weekly points out, Swift fans have claimed that the shark was just one of many pranks set up by the pop star's back-up dancers. Fans who attended Swift's Friday night performance claim that her dancers brought out a lobster during "Bad Blood."

UGH MEDIA WHY ARE YOU POSTING ABOUT THE SHARK? IT WAS A PRANK! THERE WAS A LOBSTER SHOW 1 AND A SHARK SHOW 2! pic.twitter.com/7aIK7wBMaR— Jillian (@Swifty448) July 27, 2015

One of Swift's dancers also posted a photo of the lobster prank on Instagram:

So, who is to be believed here?

Was Swift knocking Perry or was is this all a terrible misunderstanding?

What became of the lobster?

Does any of this matter?

One thing is certain: Left Shark definitely doesn't care.
