It's official: Taylor Swift is the patron saint of celebrity kindness.

The pop star paid a surprise visit to Ben, a leukemia patient in early August, and together they performed a sweet cover of Adele's "Someone Like You." Swift sang the lyrics while the patient accompanied her on a keyboard that he had moved into his room a week before.

On Monday he shared the video on Reddit, under the username GodIsMerciful, writing that Swift flew from Rhode Island to Massachusetts to visit the patients at Boston Children's Hospital and stayed for three hours.

"I just think its [sic] so awesome and nice that she came especially for that purpose," he wrote.

Ben told Mashable that spending time with Swift was one of the "most amazing experiences" of his life.

"When she first stepped in she gave me a hug and she immediately started a conversation with me, just like the kind of conversation you'd have with a new friend," he said. "She is very nice and affable, and because of that all my nerves went away. I never dreamed a celebrity could be as down-to-earth and nice as she was."

During her Boston hospital visit, Swift also said hello to another young leukemia patient, 6-year-old Jordan Lee Nickerson. Together, they sang a rousing rendition of Swift's song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
