We're embarking on a collaborative, technological and exciting journey -- and you're invited.

Whether you’re texting, swiping, messaging or emoji-ing, the ways we do something as old-fashioned as fall in love are endless. And in a world where technological possibilities abound, it’s safe to say we have a powerful, ever-growing relationship with our tech. Now we’re using that to our advantage.

That’s where you, our lovely Mashable audience, come in. We’re asking you to tweet us a technology love story in 140 characters. Interpret that however you'd like, whether you envision two robots falling in love or simply a story about why you heart your tech. It's up to you.

Once we have your tweets, that’s when the real experiment begins. We’re challenging band Good Old War to use your tweets as inspiration for an original song -- yes, that’s right. You are the creative catalyst.

Bottom line: This is something you won't want to miss.

How it will work

Submission must be received by 11:59PM on August 16, 2015 to be considered for the song, and be sure to tag your stories with the hashtag #TechLoveStoryPromo. Over the next several weeks we'll be following Good Old War as your tweets inspire their creative process. We'll be there with them as they hear your stories, write an original song and perform it. Watch the video above to hear it from Good Old War themselves.

So get working -- your tweets might just end up in their song.
