Technorati, the leading blog search engine, has taken $7.6 million in Series C funding - return backers include DFJ and Mobius Venture Capital. Technorati remains way ahead of rival Feedster, which just raised between $1 and $5 million in funding and appointed Tyler Goldman as its new president (he replaces Chris Redlitz). Technorati has also fended off competition from newcomers like Sphere, and launches from established players like Google.
