'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' 9-11 Poster Quickly Pulled Back Into Shell

Oh, don't act so shell-shocked -- this just couldn't have been on purpose.

Paramount Pictures' marketing division in Australia made a major facepalm moment happen Tuesday when its official account tweeted out a movie poster for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles showing the heroes in a half-shell jumping from an exploding skyscraper.

Pretty ordinary stuff, until you see the movie's Australian release date -- Sept. 11, ahem -- and remember that the film is set in New York City.

After a brief burst of online outrage, @ParamountAU quickly deleted the tweet.
