Cowabunga! 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Game Coming This Summer

A new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game, based on the current Nickelodeon cartoon, is hitting downloadable marketplaces this summer.

Fans of the pizza-eating reptile foursome with mutant powers will get to play as Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo or Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. The game is a four-player cooperative brawler and is being developed by Red Fly Studios and published by Activision.

The trailer's art shows off the game's realistic style that's different from any of the cartoon series, and some of the screenshots show the four Ninja Turtles with bizarrely human eyes.

The game takes place on the Turtles' home turf of New York City, and the foursome will have to take out the Foot Clan. Few other details, including which other characters will be included, were released.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will be out sometime this summer on Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network and Steam for PC.
