Australia's biggest telecommunications provider Telstra suffered a massive outage around 1.30 a.m. Tuesday, leaving thousands of customers in New South Wales without mobile, landline and Internet services.
Users took to social media early Tuesday morning, complaining about the disruption. On Twitter, Telstra advised ADSL services were unavailable due to a maintenance operation.

A Telstra spokesperson told Mashable Australia the issue was fully resolved at 6:10 a.m. "We had a technical issue that affected a number of ADSL, mobile and phone services across NSW," she added.
Telstra's operations problem is also thought to have disrupted train services in the Southern Highlands, Nine News reported. A spokesperson for Transport NSW confirmed to Mashable Australia it was her understanding the disruption was caused by the Telstra outage.
NSW TrainLink South tweeted services resumed on the line around 6 a.m. Tuesday, after being stalled due to an external communications issue.
